42chips is the electronics association of 42 Paris. We learn by doing — and by “doing” we mean building cool stuff, breaking it, fixing it, and pretending it was intentional. Pssst ! Check out Projects. Our HQ is the Labelec, a magical place full of machines, components, and the occasional smell magic smoke. Whether you’ve never touched a soldering iron or you already talk to your coffee machine via UART, you’re welcome here 👋

What do we do ?

At 42chips, we teach electronics the 42 way :

• No boring lectures (but we still do some 😎)
• No “read this 200-page manual” (unless the answer is inside 😉). Possible Piscine Embedded | FR foreshadowing 🤷
• Just projects, curiosity, and a lot of “oh… so that’s why it didn’t work”
• Still have to talk to people (but we don’t bite)

We welcome complete beginners. If you’ve never touched electronics before, we’ll start you off with our 2-day Atelier Uno — the “Hello World” of electronics. If you’re already fluent in C, you’re halfway there, Piscine Embedded | FR / Electronics Module. If you’re fluent in C++ or Rust… well, we’ll forgive you 😉.

I general we prefer that you just show up at the lab and help around before taking you in the association so we can be sure you will still be there in a month.
